The Grammar School at Leeds is delighted to host award-winning spoken word artist, educator, and now author, Jaspreet Kaur, as she discusses her debut book, Brown Girl Like Me on Wednesday 18 May, 6.30-9.00pm.
Brown Girl Like Me is one of the first books to speak directly to the experiences of South Asian women in Britain since 1978, exploring topics from mental health and menstruation stigma to education and beauty standards, from feminism to cultural appropriation and microaggressions.
