Tuesday 5 December 2017 Nominations are now open for our first Leeds Luminaries awards, so make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to honour someone you know. We are searching for alumni whose achievements in their chosen field inspire others to succeed and whose successes embody the school’s core values of excellence, inspiration and citizenship. The first awards will be presented in 2018 to mark GSAL’s 10th birthday and nominations are now open in the following categories: Science and medicine (including technology, engineering and maths) Arts and humanities Business and enterprise Sport Charity and community Rising star (under 30 years old) Lifetime achievement, in any subject or any field (this award is also open to people with a close link to The Grammar School at Leeds or one of its founding schools) The closing date for all nominations is 31 December 2017. Following shortlisting, voting will be open to all alumni in March and will run for four weeks. Votes can be cast online, or by post. Winners will each receive their award at the Leeds Luminaries awards dinner to be held at The Grammar School at Leeds on Saturday 17 November 2018.
