Forest classroom and outdoor play

Exploring the natural world

We recognise that messy, outdoor play is crucial to the physical, social, and emotional well-being of children. We also know it helps inquisitive young minds learn.

Our safe, spacious, and semi-rural campus means our nursery children are given lots of opportunities to head into the fresh air and explore. In doing so, each child gains a deeper understanding of themselves and their place within the wider world.

Our forest classroom

Our forest classroom gives children the chance to investigate the natural world. This connection to nature allows children to solve problems, make decisions in their play and grow in confidence as a result.  Nursery children visit our forest classroom on a weekly basis, and have frequent opportunities to explore other parts of our extensive site as well.

Outdoor Play

Our newly built outdoor playground has been designed with 3 and 4-year-olds in mind. This gives our nursery children age-appropriate challenges, allowing them to grow in confidence, resilience, and physical skill. Alongside our climbing frames and tricycling area, our playground has a mud kitchen, a water play area, and garden. These multi-sensory spaces encourage children to work together and learn about the natural world in a fun, hands-on way. We aim to cultivate a love of nature that will last a lifetime.

Come and visit us. We’d love to show you around.
