Helen Clapham has been appointed director of external relations at The Grammar School at Leeds to head up its marketing team.
Helen joins GSAL from the University of Leeds where she was head of student recruitment and marketing, and was an influential figure in UK university marketing.
She said: “I’m delighted to be joining GSAL. I took the role because the school is dedicated to creating an inspirational education experience for children from three to 18 and has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence, first class facilities and superb pastoral support.”
Her remit at the independent co-educational school will be to develop the brand and profile of the school through working with a variety of stakeholders.
Helen sees the next few years as crucial as universities raise their entry requirements and employers look for employees with a rich and diverse learning experience.
She said: “At GSAL we provide a creative and challenging environment for children to excel, grow and learn from the best teachers, so when they leave us they are prepared to make the most of the opportunities available. We also teach our students values and give them experiences beyond the classroom, in the community and internationally through our partners abroad.”
