Les Miserables School Edition

The Grammar School at Leeds presents Les Miserables School Edition, the epic tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption set against a nation in the throes of revolution on Tue 28, Wed 29 and Thurs 30 March.

Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Misérables is a powerful and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. Now adapted for high school performers, Les Misérables School Edition features one of the most memorable scores of all time and some of the most memorable characters to ever grace your stage.

One of the world’s most iconic and longest-running musicals, Les Miserables tells the story of Jean Valjean, a former convict who spends his lifetime seeking redemption. Set against the backdrop of 19^th century France, Valjean’s quest for a new life carries him to Paris and to the barricades of the French Revolution as he is hunted by inspector Javert and the ghosts of his past.

Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables School Edition packs an emotional wallop that has thrilled audiences all over the world.

Les Miserables School Edition is performed entirely by students.

School Edition specially adapted and licensed by Music Theatre International and Cameron Mackintosh (Overseas) Limited.
Whilst this is the School Edition, mature themes are explored in this production. Age guidance for audience is 11+ but this is at parent/guardian discretion.
