The Grammar School at Leeds presents the horror comedy rock musical Little Shop of Horrors Tue 19 – Thurs 21 March.

The show starts at 6.55pm. Age guidance for audience is 11+ but this is at parent/guardian discretion.

Synopsis

Join Seymour, the hapless florist, as his luck starts to turn around on the discovery of a very unique, very hungry, man-eating plant. Will Seymour’s love for Audrey survive the pressures of life and dreams on Skid Row? Would anyone still be alive to attend a wedding?

The book and lyrics are by Howard Ashman and the early ‘60s-styled music is by Alan Menken. The musical is based on the 1960 film by Roger Corman, screenplay by Charles Griffith.

The musical was originally produced by the WPA theatre (Kyle Renick, Producing Director) and it was originally produced at the Orpheum Theatre, New York city by the WPA Theatre, David Geffen, Cameron Mackintosh and the Shubert Organization.
