Brief synopsis of talk:

The session will outline the foundational approaches to developing a consistently good learning environment. The focus will be on how we can combine the power of Pedagogy, cognitive science and technology to build efficiencies with respect to time, costs and developing new skills.

What you will get out of it:

A clear understanding of the ‘art of the possible’ in todays classrooms. The session is designed to challenge our day to day approaches to learning in the classroom.

Profile of facilitator:

Abdul Chohan is the Vice President of Learning at Showbie and Director of ThinkSimple Ltd. He works with school leaders and Ministries of Education to develop operational efficiencies and innovative learning approaches in education using mobile technology. His work is based on research based practices and cognitive science. Abdul is a former teacher of 20 years and is the Co-founder of a primary free school in Bolton, UK. He is also a former Principal and CEO of a multi academy trust based in the UK.

He is known for his pioneering work on mobile based learning since 2008. He has worked with a number of international educational organisations as well as devising learning strategies based on mobile technology platforms. His programmes focus on the idea of ‘Changing Beliefs’ through ‘Simplicity and Reliability’ and have extended beyond the traditional school environment to impact families and the the wider communities that the schools serve.
