Whilst the vision may come from above, it is those in the middle who play a crucial part in its success. A thought-provoking and engaging (not to blow my own trumpet) workshop in which I explore the part middle leadership plays in securing a culture of excellence – a honest dos and don’ts guide to getting it right and becoming the leader that your school needs. What you will get out of it: An honest and truthful exploration about how to be in the right place, at the right time to help move your school forward. Profile of facilitator: As an NQT, determined to make a difference for disadvantaged children, I completed a body of research on attaining positive outcomes for Pupil Premium boys. As an RQT I secured my first middle leadership role as a Deputy Achievement Coordinator and embarked on a journey to senior leadership, taking on roles from Pupil Premium Leader to Second in Charge of English. Without shadow of doubt, I have proven relentless in my desire to make a difference for my students and staff. Finally, in April 2022, I was appointed to the position of Associate Assistant Vice Principal following the determination and drive I displayed daily in upholding standards and having high expectations for all, myself included.
