The workshop provides an overview of ECT programme from an ECT perspective. The workshop will explore the following areas:
- A reflection on the new ECT programme
- Common worries and challenges faced by students undertaking their ECT
- Guidance on how to best manage your ECTs from an ECT perspective
- Advice on how to best support your ECT to ensure they thrive through the two-year programme.

Profile of facilitator:
Joshua Parker is a first-year ECT teacher working at Waldegrave School in Twickenham. He completed his PGCE in Social Science at the Institute of Education. Joshua teaches across a range of subjects including Economics, History, Sociology and Psychology. In addition, He works on a number of projects in school such as organising guest speakers, supporting the development of the school’s digital strategy, and developing the school’s social media presence. Prior to teaching Joshua had a career in Fast Moving Consumer Goods working as a Brand Manager.
