The workshop will explore the following areas: A reflection on the new ECT programme Common worries and challenges faced by students undertaking their ECT Guidance on how to best manage your ECTs from an ECT perspective Advice on how to best support your ECT to ensure they thrive through the two-year programme. What you will get out of it: Understanding of ECT programme from an ECT perspective Common worries and challenges faced by students undertaking their ECT Guidance on how to manage ECTs effectively Recommendation on what makes a good ECT manager Profile of facilitator: Joshua Parker is a first-year ECT teacher working at Waldegrave School in Twickenham. He completed his PGCE in Social Science at the Institute of Education. Joshua teaches across a range of subjects including Economics, History, Sociology and Psychology. In addition, He works on a number of projects in school such as organising guest speakers, supporting the development of the school’s digital strategy, and developing the school’s social media presence.
