In this session we will explore how to support staff with form time reading for pleasure and disciplinary reading within the curriculum, using a research-informed approach.

Ideas for planning and approaching CPD for reading across a staff body.
Profile of facilitator:
Mary is an experienced teacher and leader, with a varied career in secondary schools and Local Authorities. Mary is also an experienced CPD presenter, presenting for Litdrive, ResearchEd, New Voices and Team English as well in-school. She is also a freelance writer on aspects of literature and pedagogy, including work for the British Library. Mary is a co-author of ‘Succeeding as an English Teacher’ published by Bloomsbury. Additionally, Mary is also a Regional Advocate for LitdriveUK and their writer-in-residence.
